Abstract
To deal with the optimization of control problem for large-scale systems using a Hopfield neural network ( HNN) that is easily trapped in local minima, a two-level hierarchical optimization network based on a transiently chaotic network (TCNN) is proposed in this paper. The stability of this network and the equality between the stable value of this network and the optimal solution for the control problem of large scale systems are proved subsequently. Because the TCNN has richer and more flexible dynamics compared to the HNN, this network has a higher capability of searching for globally optimal solutions to the optimization control for large scale systems. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of this optimal network.
