Abstract

Two-dimensional NO concentration distribution for various different vibrational levels is studied by using a LiF system in a pipe with nozzle-to-plane electrode system during NO/sub x/ removal. The concentrations in positive streamer region are measured under steady state DC corona condition. As a result, it is found that additional streamer coronas are induced by UV pulse laser irradiation. NO, LiF signals and streamer corona induced by a laser pulse were measured independently as a function of time delay after the laser trigger. Features of streamer corona induced by UV pulse laser are made clear in terms of the streamer propagation. Two dimensional NO distributions for vibrational ground state molecule are visualized during positive DC corona discharge.
