Abstract

Aflatoxin B1 is a carcinogenic mycotoxin responsible for hepatocellular carcinoma in humans and animals. A two-dimensional combined stochastic sensor based on the physical modification of a gold dot with N-[5-methylpyridin-2yl] octadec-9-enamide was designed and validated for aflatoxin B1 determination in bovine and vegan milk. The working concentration range was between 0.1 fmol L−1 and 0.1 µmol L−1 with a sensitivity of 2.70 × 109 s−1mol−1L. The recovery values for aflatoxin B1 in the milk samples exceeded 95.00%, with relative standard deviations lower than 0.10%.
