Abstract
This paper studies asymptotic confidence limits for the steady-state availability, failure frequency, and mean time to failure of a two-unit parallel repairable system. We consider a very realistic problem for this redundant system, in which the system performance measures depend heavily on the effectiveness of recovery mechanisms including failure detection and failure coverage.
