A special case of a single server Markov queuing system is considered in which the customers are of two types and subject to a special form of priority queue discipline. If the Type 2 queue is longer then a Type 2 customer is served; otherwise a Type 1 customer is served. Both non-preemptive and preemptive priority are considered
