Two novel manganese coordination polymers containing both double-stranded chain and single chain or double-stranded chain

Abstract

Reaction of bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethane (bte), MnSO 4 · H 2O with KNCS or NaN(CN) 2 yields two novel polymers [Mn( gauche-bte) 2(NCS) 2] n · [Mn( anti-bte)(H 2O) 2(NCS) 2] n ( 1) which contains both double-stranded chain and single chain and both the gauche and anti conformations bte, and forms three-dimensional hydrogen bond network, and {Mn( gauche-bte) 2[N(CN) 2] 2} n ( 2) which contains double-stranded chain.
