Abstract
This paper presents two hoard of coins from the territory of Ukraine, that both have included coins of the Eravisci and imitative issues of these coins. Both hoards are important, for different reasons. They both contribute to the understanding of the distribution of Celtic coins in Ukraine, and particularly to that of coins of the Eravisci in an area that is quite remote from the core area of circulation of Eravisci coinage. The first hoard is notable also for the fact that a coin of the Eravisci circulated together with a majority of Roman denarii plus for a number of items that have been found together with the coins. The second hoard is even more important and very notable for a number of unpublished coin types that are presented here for the first time, that help to underline the importance of the findspot as a regional center of trade and for manufacture. Many coins in that hoard are imitations of original Eravisci coin types and must have been minted locally. The coins are presented in a catologue which groups them by their reverse types, followed by non-Eravisci coins which have been present together with the Eravisci coins in the hoards. The article also provides a brief summary of the current state of research, particularly related to findspots of coins of the Eravisci, and related to distribution patterns and groups of coins imitative to the coinage of the Eravisci.
