Abstract
The two-body nonleptonic decays of bottom baryons are analyzed using a factorization ansatz and nonrelativistic quark model values for the baryonic form factors. Our results show that the decay widths for the axial vector mesons ${(a}_{1})$ are an order of magnitude higher than those for vector mesons (\ensuremath{\rho}). Our results provide a means to determine the ratios ${F}_{{D}_{s}^{*}}{/F}_{{D}_{s}}$ and ${F}_{{D}_{{s}_{1}}}{/F}_{{D}_{s}},$ i.e., the ratios between the decay constants for the vector, axial vector, and pseudoscalar mesons.
