Abstract

Battery research community is gearing the attention to hoist the blooming sodium ion battery technology and a continuous upsurge in demand for sodium electrodes exists.This work enlightens the direct preparation of maricite NaMnPO4 by tuning of polyol solution pH with different manganese precursors via polyol process and fosters the electrochemical activity of maricite NaMnPO4 for sodium ion battery application.The structural formation of the material is controlled by the polyol solution pH and isoelectric point of the surfactant polymer along with the by-products. Manganese (II) acetate employed product evinces good crystalline maricite structure with strong thermodynamically stable transition metal vibrations and regulates the morphology of the material in a controlled manner. Nano rod - like structure morphology promotes the diffusion of sodium ions paving way for higher capacity of 102 mAh/g.
