Abstract
A personal perspective on Turner syndrome is presented from a woman who was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 12. The stigmata of Turner syndrome, especially short stature and the feeling of being “different”, are explored. The importance of providing the patient with as much information as possible, as well as putting her in touch with support groups and other individuals with Turner syndrome, is emphasized.
