Abstract
We present a design of tunable multi-bandwidth terahertz (THz) metamaterial using split-disk resonator (SDR). The devices are composed of single-, dual-, and triple-SDR layers on Si substance. SDRs exhibit the polarization-dependent characteristic and controllable resonant free spectrum range (FSR). By changing the height between SDRs, the tuning range of resonance is 0.30 THz. Such SDR design provides a highefficiency resonator in THz wave applications and can be realized polarization-dependent characteristic for THz switch with single-band to multi-band resonant characterizations.
