Abstract

Objectives: To describe the treatment adherence among hypertensive patients and to determine some related factors to treatment adherence. Research methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out on 360 hypertensive patients being managed and treated at health stations in Hoa Vang district. Result: The overall treatment adherence rate of patients was 16,7%; the highest rate was regular health checkups (84,2%), and the lowest rate was the blood pressure measuring at home (22,5%). The treatment time, education level, support of medical facilities and knowledge are factors related to the hypertension treatment adherence of patients. Conclusion: The hypertension treatment adherence rate of patients was low, 16,7%.
