Abstract

The stability and dampening of horizontal and vertical oscillations were investigated with due consideration of radiation from the electrons. Coefficients for amplification or dampening of the oscillations were obtained. The results were applied to a storage ring with an energy band between 200 and 1300 Mev. The energy dissipation was calculated, and the different dampening coefficients were examined. (D.C.W.)
