Abstract

The work deals with peculiarities of diagnostics, clinical course and outcomes of tuberculosis of the Central nervous system in modern conditions in the Volgograd region. In the morbidity structure of the predominant form is meningoencephalitis. In half of the cases tuberculosis of the meningitis developed on the background of HIV infection and chronic viral hepatitis C. The most severe form of meningoencephalitis caused by the presence of drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which led to lethal outcome in every second patient.
