Abstract
TSX-Plus is a multiuser extension to the RT-11 (realtime) operating system for the DEC LSI-11 and PDP-11 computers. There are some 6000 TSX-Plus users worldwide (about 10% of the RT-11 population). The latest release incorporates a novel scheduling algorithm and automatic data caching which combine to provide high job throughput. The article discusses TSX-Plus and gives an overview of the scheduler.
