Abstract
1.Trypanosoma brucei was isolated from a lion by means of mouse inoculation. 2. The strain was identified asT. brucei by the Blood Incubation Infectivity Test (BIIT). 3. BIIT was further simplified by using serum instead of plasma. 4. For effective working of BIIT the incubation of samples was shown to be essential.
