Abstract
Bu calismada, oncelikle Turk yuksekogretim sisteminin tarihsel gelisimine deginilmistir. Daha sonra, Turkiye'de yuksekogretim alaninda son seksen dort yilda yasanan degisimler ve gelismeler uzerinde durulmustur. Bu kapsamda ozellikle son on bes yil icinde yuksekogretim alaninda gerceklestirilen atilimlar belirtilirken, yuksekogretim sisteminin mevcut durumu ve performansi ortaya konulmustur. Son yillardaki, kuresel olcekteki egilimler ve Turk yuksekogretiminde gorulen niceliksel buyume sonucunda Turk yuksekogretiminin dunyadaki yeri degerlendirilmistir.
