Abstract

Development of haploids and homozygous lines presents a valuable stock of plants in plant breeding, and the induction of haploids from isolated microspores or from excised anthers is one of the most advanced methods. Production of homozygous lines of triticale from haploids is of primary importance both for selection of suitable recombinant genotypes and for fixing the latter. Development of homozygous lines in primary triticale is of interest because it provides information at a very early stage about possible combinations of genes in a complex triticale genome.KeywordsAnther CultureDonor PlantHomozygous LineHaploid PlantHomozygous PlantThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
