Triterpenoids from Lansium domesticum Corr cv. piedjietan (Meliaceae) and their Antifeedant Activity against Epilachna vigintioctopunctata Larvae

Abstract

In this study, we describe the isolation and structure elucidation of three triterpenoids (1) lansioside C, (2) 3-oxo-24-cycloarten-21-oic acid and (3) α, γ- onoceradienedione from the seeds, the leaves and the fruit peels of L. domesticum cv piedjietan Hasskl., respectively. The chemical structures of compound 1, 2 and 3 were identified with spectroscopic data. These compounds (1-3) had been reported from L. domesticum cv piedjietan Hasskl. Antifeedant activities of compounds 1, 2 and 3 (1% w/v) were evaluated using choice method against the fourth instar larvae of Epilachna vigintioctopunctata and showed activity of 65%, 43% and 53% respectively.
