Abstract

In the study a metal matrix composites, performances of reinforcement particles are studied. The particle is achieved better dynamic function for enhancing the life period of components and increasing the efficiency. The various ceramic and non metallic particles were influenced to compose the metal matrix composites which analyzed by the various researchers. Therefore, in this paper aimed to focus the agro waste material of bio silica was utilized as reinforcement particles on the aluminium alloy AA6082. These materials were synthesized by the stir casting process to produce the agro based metal matrix composites. Then the prepared MMCs specimens were subjected to conduct the mechanical performances like hardness and tribological properties to measure their characteristics. From the hardness test, maximum proportion of bio silica (9 %) attained lesser wear rate of 0.223 mg/min due to the agro waste bio silica particles presents. Moreover the particles were well synthesized by the uniform dispersion by liquefying process. Finally the tribo parameters like sliding speed and operational load creates the better wear rate against the bio silica based composites.
