She holds a PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science at the University of London in the United Kingdom. She has been coordinator of the Commonwealth Network of Information Technology for Development (COMNET-IT) and has been involved in various consultancy projects in Italy and the UK. Her research interests include the use of electronic communication technologies to support coordination and decision making processes within international networks and network organisations and she has produced various publications in this area.
