Abstract
To the editor: Medical schools have launched programs to reduce students’ length of training and debt burden, such as 3-year “accelerated” pathways and tuition exemptions.1,2 However, little has been reported regarding the trends that may extend medical school training for students applying to dermatology, which is a competitive specialty for both US and international medical students. The aim of this study was to evaluate the trends in medical school training time for dermatology applicants.
