Abstract
The gross output of grain produced by German agriculture amounts, according to the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry, to 7.784 billion DEM, which is about one fourth of plant production. Because of this efforts are continuously being made to improve grain drying and storage. Inquiries on farms, at agricultural fairs and talks with companies show new constructional trends, which mostly can be traced to the cost pressure on agriculture.
