Abstract

Fifty cases of vomiting in infants and children, between the ages of two weeks to three years, were given promazine hydrochloride in the dose of 2 mg. to 20 mg. for the symptomatic control of vomiting. Seventy per cent. of the cases had acute upper respiratory tract infections and acute gastroenteritis. The drug was given in either a single dose or multiple doses. The results were excellent in 12 cases, good in 26 cases, and fair in 12 cases.
