Abstract

Background: The efficacy of primary surgery and radiation therapy for vestibular schwannomas is well documented. Unfortunately, despite low recurrence rates and high tumor control respectively, failed treatment does occur. Understanding outcomes from salvage microsurgery and radiation therapy can help inform the nuanced treatment decisions required when faced with primary treatment failure.
