Abstract

Forty cases of schistosomiasis have been treated with sodium antimony tartrate and the optimal dose and the duration of the treatment decided. The rate of cure in 28 cases given a total dose of 15 mg. per kg. of body weight over a period of 6 successive days was 67.8 per cent. Three of the 28 cases so treated were previous relapses, the subjects passing only dead ova in their urine; all three were cured after treatment.
