Abstract
As it appears to be the best means at our disposal for the treatment of the Parkinsonian syndrome, pallidal destruction has already been performed on 70 previous occasions by the author by open operation, using a sub-frontal approach and following the optic tract. He has replaced this more recently by an easy stereotaxic method of his own devising.
