Abstract

Heartburn and constipation are frequently classified as minor disorders of pregnancy. The symptoms suffered by pregnant women with one or both of these complaints can be extremely distressing. Midwives can be a vital source of information and support to the woman in enabling her to understand the conditions and to access treatment.
