Abstract

Dieulafoy lesion (DL) is an uncommon cause of nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It is usually seen in the stomach; however, some cases have been reported within juxtapapillary duodenal diverticula (JPDD). DL in JPDD was observed in the endoscopic examination of an 85-year-old male patient who attended the hospital because of melena. The lesion was successfully treated by applying monopolar hemostatic forceps with soft coagulation (MHFSC). Despite being rare, DL can be seen in JPDD. MHFSC is effective and reliable in treating DL.
