Abstract

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and long-term outcomes of non-complete resection and strengthening of the urethra for urethral diverticular fistula. Methods The clinical data of female patients with urethrovaginal diverticular fistula who were admitted to the Urology Department of Peking University First Hospital from January 1, 2009 to January 1, 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, and all the patients were treated by six-step transvaginal urethral diverticula repair. Results The symptom of vaginal leakage disappeared in all the six patients, and all the urethrovaginal fistulas were repaired successfully. Transperineal ultrasound showed that periurethral dark area disappeared in five cases, and one patient still had periurethral fluid area at 6 months after surgery. Conclusion The six-step transvaginal urethral diverticula repair of urethral diverticular fistula is feasible and effective. Key words: Urethral diverticula; Fistula; Female
