Abstract

The increasing number of travellers from the UK has increased demand for travel health consultations in a variety of settings. Providers of a travel health service must be competent not only in prescribing, but also in the processes of risk assessment and the administration of live and inactivated immunisations. Providers of these services should ensure they have undertaken appropriate training and are involved with ongoing continuing professional development.
