Abstract

This video article may be viewed at jaapos.org.We present a technique for exploring, identifying, and repairing an acutely transected inferior rectus muscle. A 9-month-old girl presented emergently at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, after an unwitnessed fall from a bed. She was bleeding from her left eye, and her parents reported that she might have struck her eye on the sharp edge of a plastic toy. The patient had an inferior conjunctival laceration and new-onset left hypertropia.
