Abstract
On the corpus of 3 collections of short humorous stories (columns) by Jelica Greganović (Osmeh za svaki dan, Zovem se mama and Zovem se mama 22), the current paper anal- yses the process of building decomposed linguistic units of a syntagmatic nature (adverbs, adjectives and nouns) in substandard Serbian language by the transposition of the catego- rial seme, either within the same semantic field or in different semantic fields. In this way, very effective and striking linguistic structures are created for pragmatic and stylistic reasons, which means they are conditioned by the linguistic situation and the communicative inten- tions of the speaker, such as achieving the expressiveness of expression and a humorous effect. They are mostly occasional, appear in the substandard, and have the status of a styleme because of their unusual character and great stylistic value.
