Abstract

The rhetoric towards transport policy in the UK has fundamentally changed in recent years, but the implementation of policy still lags behind and the reasons why are not yet clear. This article discusses the experience of using System-Based Interviewing in a research project which was attempting to identify the causes of the mismatch between the rhetoric and the implementation of transport policy in South East England.
