Abstract

Background: It is widely recognized that increased oxidative damage on neurons is an early event in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). It has been reported that mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) can reduce oxidative stress on many kinds of disease. Our group have shown that the changes in redox status of the AD model mouse brain can be visualized noninvasively using three-dimensional electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) imaging (Free Radic Biol Med. 2015).
