Abstract

The article examines transnationalism as a new approach to the study of migration processes. Globalization has led to the political and economic changes and required the creating of a new approach to the study of migration, capable of analyzing its impact on both receiving and sending states. The transnational approach to migration studies considers migration as a model in which migrants create transnational social spaces and influence political, social and economic processes in both sending and receiving countries.
