Abstract
Rabbit globin mRNA can be translated onto ribosomes from trout liver and kidney bean root tips. The demonstration is performed by incorporating labelled tyrosine into the six tyrosine containing peptides specific for rabbit globin. These results strongly support the view that there is no translational barrier among eukaryotes.
