Abstract
AbstractA general means is proposed for predicting transitional velocity patterns in concentric annuli and between parallel plates from behavior in tubes. As in laminar and turbulent flow, transformations of space coordinates yield identical profiles under specific conditions of comparison. Predictions are confirmed by published data and can be related to recent theoretical proposals.
