Abstract

AbstractA formalism is developed to describe nonmagnetic weak‐coupling superconducting alloys in the presence of random transfer integrals of the additive type. The off‐diagonal disorder in the lattice space is treated within an extended version of the coherent potential approximation (ODCPA). Vertex corrections are performed by means of Ward‐type relations. The concentration dependence of the superconducting transition temperature Tc is determined. Numerical results are discussed in view of the sensitivity of Tc to different bandwidths of the components. A comparison with experimental Tc(x) data on TaxV1−x and TixV1−x is given.
