Abstract

The mesoporous transition metal (T) containing TSBA-15 catalysts were synthesised and characterised by various techniques and tested in gas and liquid phase oxidations. In any case, such silica based Nb, V, Mo-containing materials lead to the highly selective formation of propene and epoxide in the gas phase oxidative dehydrogenation of propane and the liquid phase epoxidation of cyclohexene, respectively. It is shown that the acidity and textural properties of the solids strongly determine their activity for the aforementioned reactions.
