Abstract
A vacuum trip unit has been designed, using a thermocouple gauge and a transistorized d.c. amplifier, to operate relays in the interlock and protection circuits of a high-vacuum pumping system. The unit is simple to construct and set up, yet has proved stable and reliable in operation.
