Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for modeling and simulation of three-phase induction machine in transient state, including the effect of magnetic saturation. The spatial vector method is used for the modeling of this machine, which makes it possible to simplify the non-linear differential equations with variable coefficients. The developed methodology is applied to analyze the start-up process of an induction machine for different loads, comparing the linear model without saturation with the proposed model.
