Abstract

The transfer functions of acousto-optic interaction are calculated on the basis of modified Raman–Nath equations that consider the energy walk-off in an acoustic beam. The problem of acoustooptic diffraction is solved for a light beam with restricted spatial spectrum. The effect acoustic walk-off has on the efficiency of integral diffraction of a restricted optical beam is studied using the example of a paratellurite crystal.
