Abstract

The political and economic decoupling of the United States and China is an integral part of the new reality in international relations, forming and defining the contours of the future world order. In the context of the aggravation of international tensions associated with the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, it is necessary to consider the trajectories of further separation of the two largest superpowers. This study focuses on what potential changes may occur because of the current phase of transformation of the system of international relations. The article analyzes how far China is ready to go in its support of Russia in its confrontation with the West. This confrontation has an unprecedented character, affecting the US-Chinese relations.
