Abstract

The Italian Library Association (AIB) has always been promoting the permanent training of its members and, according to Law 4/2013, it is officially allowed to certify the professional skills of the members themselves. Furthermore, since 2021, the Association has been recognized by the Ministry of Education (MIUR) as a training institution for the staff of the school sector as well. According to that, AIB Emilia-Romagna is also committed to librarians’ professional training on sustainable development: indeed, the course and workshop 'Biblioteche e Agenda 2030' (May-June 2021) aimed at contributing to the AIB strategy on this theme, the strategy followed at the national level even before the regional one.
