Abstract
This paper presents measurements and analysis of traffic noise in the residential area of Jeddah City. These measurements are aimed to help in predicting the subjective response to noise as a function of measured predicted sound levels. L 10 , L 50 and L 90 were predicted for different sites, the traffic noise index and the noise pollution index, L NP, were estimated. Noise data were correlated to the individual respondent's reaction. Linear regression analyses were performed between noise exposure and dissatisfaction response.
