Abstract
A comprehensive transportation management concept has been developed for the greater Munich area. First components are being tested and evaluated in a field trial, as a basis for planning larger scale implementation. The concept relies on existing systems as well as on new, advanced transport telematics and integrates them via an overall strategy and service centre, using specific traffic monitoring and operation tools.
