Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the representation of traditional values of Chechen culture through the prism of modern Chechen cinematography. The analysis is based on the films of Chechen directors that have been produced over the last 15 years, with the following categories of analysis: temporal plot orientation; value narrative; emotional context of the film narrative; event narrative. The study concludes that modern Chechen cinema is an effective tool of preservation and popularization of traditional values of the Chechen Republic.
