Abstract

The behavior of trace and rare earth elements (REE) in weathering crusts (WC) developed after metasedimentary rocks of the Kursk Group of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (KMA) is considered. Specific features of their distribution in the weathering profile are noted and intervals of their concentration are outlined. It is suggested that the database of these elements can be used as indicators of the multistage formation and respective age of the WC.
