Abstract
The increasing labor seasonality and urban residence of agrarian wage workers encourage their access – and that of other household members– to non-agricultural occupations. This article analyzes said combination of occupations for individuals and household members in the province of Tucuman. A household typology is established, showing a significant change in the traditional social reproduction of agrarian wage earners and their households. The information comes from a wage workers’ household survey and in-depth interviews with workers.
